No-one is trying to be funny in this one except maybe Tobey the Dog. The object was to show Yevette the critters have not been eaten by a saber-tooth tiger and they really are doing fine. Someone seriously mistreated Tobey before Yevette found him and it's been a long time challenge to get him to trust me. You can see for yourself how that goes.

It's very possible Tobey's trust issues arose because he learned about the monkey...
I'm forever cast as the Monkey Killer. However, if, in fact, there was one perp then there were three as that's how many were in the house. I do see how, barring any contradictory evidence, it would still be possible to conclude it was Monkey Killer Conspiracy.
The names of the two co-conspirators will not be released to protect those likely guilty as sin as, of course, am I.
What a cutie! Looks like Toby might have Jack Russell terrier in him-tho its difficult to judge his actual size from the clip. That breed really jumps high and they have lots of energy; are known to kill rats on farms where grain is stored--they pick them up and shake them (like Toby does with pillows). I think he just wanted a good belly rub! A little grey around the mouth area--he's around eight years old maybe? Joy liked him too!
He's a riot and it would be immediate death for any rat to come anywhere near here. With he and two other cats on the back and three to four around the front most of the time, at least when I feed them, so it would be one fool rat to come near.
I don't think Yevette knows his exact age. I'm not sure how she found him. It was pitiful earlier when I'd reach out to pet him and he would cower his head down. You just wonder what the hell did they do to you, little dog. He's a happy dog now, tho.
