A friend told me she wanted "Ice Cream Blues" played at her funeral and that took me back a bit at first as there's nothing morose or funereal about the song. The lyrics aren't exactly Shakespearean and the main line is that 'time melts like an ice cream ... when you leave it in the sun.' After thinking about it a bit, I thought, hey, why not. It's not a bad perspective to have as many leave their ice cream out in the sun this way all the time and all she's really saying to them is that maybe they might want to take a little better care of the ice cream so there's still enough left to enjoy it.
