There Will Never Be Any Links to Facebook

There's not much on Facebook that's useful but some stuff has value.  However, to see any of it Zuckerberg forces you to get a Facebook account.  There is no way in hell I would do that to anyone.  Therefore I will never link to any resources inside Facebook as I don't see it as much more than a virtual prison colony.  They have fun chatting with each other but it doesn't accomplish much.

Twitter is rapidly becoming my favorite as it's definitely the fastest way to find breaking news.  CNN and Fox are like the old grannies of journalism but neither is even half as hip as a granny would ever be.  The biggest advantage of Twitter for me is that it is still the open Internet and nothing is proprietary.  With Facebook one can reach a small circle of friends, with Twitter one can reach the world.

LinkedIn is the social network for golfers and it's largely for second-rate executives as obviously such things are not necessary for good ones.  What amuses me about this is you don't hear much about government deals to get the LinkedIn database so these idiot executives assume they don't get raped too.  Right.

Instagram seems like it's mostly for turtles and the same with Pinterest and others in the also-ran category.  One celebrates Kim Kardashian and low-rent photography and no-one really knows or cares what Pinterest does.

It doesn't particularly matter whether I do or do not link to Facebook but when enough people are aware of how Facebook does then there's a good chance no-one will put up with it.
