The Only Modern Republican Who Doesn't Suck

Eisenhower, in his farewell address, spoke specifically about the threat of the military-industrial complex and no-one would have known it better than he or been in a better position to judge, after being half of the victory in WWII and a large part of the post-war recovery in the US.  (This Day in History:  Eisenhower warns of the "military-industrial complex")

The Republicans had two options:  they could have heeded what he said and sought to contain the problem ... or they could form what is essentially a new Republican party based on Reagan's voodoo economics.  Naturally, they chose the latter and built the modern-day American nightmare in which weapons contractors are in every state and every retirement program invests in them.  It's now untouchable as any attempt to take down the weapons manufacturing wrecks the retirement plans for a large part of America.

Every American is actively complicit in the killings overseas and they're not only supporting them, they're profiting from them in exactly the same way as the MIC profiteers who engineer these things ... but for a vastly smaller percentage.

The purpose isn't to shame you as most of you don't even know it and giving it that invisibility was the crime.  That was the specific design of doing it this way.  They stole the country from the Indians and now they have stolen it from you.

Republicans will defend America alright ... so long as you only mean the stock market.  Why do you think they got so pissed about 9/11 when drunks kill that many every quarter, every year.  It's got nothing to do with patriotism, all they understand is money.
