LEWIS HAMILTON WINS THE SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX, EXTENDING HIS LEAD AT THE TOP OF THE DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP to 28 points

A brilliant performance. He was lucky others made a mess at the start, but like the great that he is, he absolutely exploited the situation. The grandstand stand, here he comes, and the fireworks go! What a win! That’s three in a row since the summer break!

There's not much for the Rockhouse to add except this one gives me two reasons to be envious since there's Lewis Hamilton's skill at speeds I never came close to achieving and there's also the skill of Mark Thompson in capturing this image.

The photograph recalls the painting style of LeRoy Neiman whose work often appeared in Playboy magazine at least through the 60s and 70s.  Neiman painted with a grand passion and portrayed an immense joie de vivre in the same spirit as Thompson gives us this picture.
