Sure You Love Your Truck But Do You Love it This Much

It is time. We knew the luxo-truck onslaught that’s been wreaking havoc across this great nation was going to bring us to this moment. But now, it’s finally here: Ford has thrown down the gauntlet with its new “Super Duty Limited” line, whose crown jewel is an F-450 that can cost over $100,000.

Truck Yeah:  The $100,000 Luxury Ford F-450 Truck: An Idea Whose Time Has Come

Previously, there was an F-150 special edition which featured the Dallas Cowboys.  Little was done to boost the power of the motor, the quality of the suspension, etc but it was painted up with special regalia to show its real Cowboys identity.  The regular F-150 was, maybe, twenty to thirty grand and the special edition was, maybe, forty to fifty grand.

The Cowboys F-150 seemed like a large packet of money but some people liked them and you will see them proudly tooling around the DFW area.  When that cost is thought here is already considered exorbitant, the new one is stratospheric.

Zen Yogi:  it's not just an F-150 this time since they've moved up to the F-450, the most heavily decked-out pickup truck Ford has in their line

My purpose isn't to pitch it to you to then say, hey, what a great deal ... but still you may find the features interesting.

Among the features these premium Limited models offer, are: two-tone heated and vented front leather seats, heated rear seats, premium leather-wrapped steering wheel, suede headliner, hand-finished ash wood trim, a unique grille and tailgate, a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, adaptive steering, lane-keep alert, forward collision warning, LED headlamps, panoramic moonroof.

Zen Yogi:  those are some remarkable luxuries to find in a pickup truck

The F-450 is also their most ferocious since it's got the beefiest motor, heaviest suspension, etc.  As these vehicles go, this one is a beast.

Zen Yogi:  what is it worth then?

I tell you what, my furry buddy, I don't care about it's real worth or selling price which may not be the same thing.  I'm interested in showing you the vehicle because the price immediately struck me but there's more to it since this F-450 is packed with more automotive goodness than most of the F-x50 trucks I see on the road ... and in Fort Worth I see a lot of them.

Although the truck doesn't suit my purposes, it's a monster within its class and it carries big coolness from that.  They don't get recognized too much since people often dismiss pickups as not suitable for the refined members of society but they're still cool for what they are and what they do.

Hopefully you got a kick out of it even when you may not favor pickup trucks.
