RT: 'We're at war': 'Committee to Investigate Russia' weaponizes Morgan Freeman in anti-Moscow hysteria
Who could think it's a bad idea to weaponize Morgan Freeman.
Hollywood actors often speak their minds about domestic politics, but now some in Tinseltown are also joining the anti-Russian chorus, accusing Moscow of using "hacking, Twitter armies, and fake news" to interfere with the US election.
The major player in the campaign is actor-director Rob Reiner, who joined up with The Atlantic's senior editor David Frum – a former adviser to George W. Bush – and former national intelligence director James Clapper, among others, to launch the non-profit 'Committee to Investigate Russia' (CIR).
This is the same James Clapper who said there was no evidence of Russian interference in the election, though he later changed his story.
“To understand the gravity of Russia’s invasion of our democracy, today we launch Committee to Investigate Russia,” Reiner wrote in a Tuesday tweet, linking to the organization's website.

Their Committee might do better to review how it came that James Clapper is such a flip-flopping, flapjacking lunatic. All we're getting now is a sequel to Clinton's sequel to the McCarthyism of the 50s since this story has been rebooted more times than the latest Marvel movie.
Zen Yogi: the odd thing is that people still believe it
Yogi, the odd thing is that people ever believed it. The CIA's estimable record can be reviewed easily on WIKI.
Rob Reiner had mostly disappeared but Morgan Freeman is a great loss since he has always seemed to possess great wisdom. Hanging around with this Committee belies that altogether. It's not only bad politics since it's a sequel to bad politics which was in turn a sequel of more bad politics. Nothing he says will be regarded as credible after we see he accepts this bollocks as truth.
It's a drag since Morgan Freeman, more than a great many others, has frequently represented Wisdom in all kinds of ways.
Zen Yogi: cry me a river, Silas
I know, Yogi, since an endless lament would serve no purpose and we can get that anyway from the endless retelling of Clinton's travails with her myriad stories of suffering. Instead of looking like a tragic heroine, she has only made herself look like a damn fool.
Zen Yogi: three hundred thousand people think you're wrong and bought her book
That doesn't mean much when three million a month read "Hustler" magazine when it was at its peak. Easy net porno has just about wiped it out now. Even more read "Penthouse" but that doesn't make the same point.
Zen Yogi: the point that the Russian hacking story is just more net porn?
That's the one, Yogi. Stop on by the Rockhouse for a free cupcake.
