When Hendrix spoke of different strokes, maybe this is what he meant.  All of the geese are on the up-stroke but the ruddy shelduck is well into his down-stroke.

A little red flying fox dips a toe in a lake at the mouth of Katherine gorge in the Northern Territory

What's this about dipping a toe when the flying fox was probably trying to catch something to eat.  All the while, the crocodiles watch.
