You have taken or read Ithaka down to one thousand and change to Win a Million. It's even getting predictable since it's not unrealistic to anticipate a thousand reads per day so that makes it on happen late on Saturday.
But ...
there is another Pilgrimage coming this weekend since Cadillac Man will arrive on Sunday.
Zen Yogi: it would be coolest if it happens while he is there at the Rockhouse
It would, Yogi. Deliberately slowing it down would bite at me like fleas in my bunk but it is tempting.
Zen Yogi: how could you do it?
Not a problem at all, Yogi, since I could start a series on My Life with Tofu.
Zen Yogi: yep, that would do it ... but you won't really do that, will you?
No, mate, since I might be able to make one funny but No. 2 probably has no chance. I can't do that since every article must be ...
Zen Yogi: written to win?
Thanks for an exceptionally cheesy way to say it but yes.
We will see how it shakes, Cadillac Man so cross your fingers for that but your Pilgrimage is a gas in any case. Here's a tip to buy a drink or two on the way here since we have tried to be the genteel hosts by providing cool and refreshing beverages but that hasn't matched up so well and bringing something of your preference would likely work better.
Here's another tip that a noon arrival is likely best since you may miss Yevette altogether by going with any earlier time. She would love to see you as well and she was mortified when she missed some time with Prince Seraphin and the Lady Tinkerbell but she couldn't keep her eyes open any longer. Chances are definitely much better around noon.
The weather looks like it will be mild with temperatures between mid-80s to mid-60s which sounds quite pleasant with a perfect sleeping temperature. It's actually close enough now for a reasonably accurate prediction. Ha!
The general vibe here is not significantly different from that which I reveal on Ithaka so you won't find any sucker punches in this sojourn.
Zen Yogi: so there's a lot of excitement then?
It's blazing, Yogi, since it's not surprising for anyone to get excited when Ithaka gets so close to the win and the excitement at the imminent of the Pilgrim is blazing as well. We can blow right pass trying to find things to give each other since both of us are old coots and the biggest thing to keep is the memory the Pilgrimage happened.
Zen Yogi: you still would like to find something for him anyway, right?
Sure but I can't imagine what it might be. There's the Official Rockhouse copy of "Dune" and Ithaka is riddled with references to it.
Zen Yogi: because it's on the Ithaka Required Reading list?
That works and it would be interesting anyway to discover if Cadillac Man has any interest in reading it. He has been spoiled ever since he retired since he can read of American History around the clock if he chooses and what a fine way to be spoiled.
Zen Yogi: I guess so ... if you love American History
He does, mate; he deeply does. That's a large part of his passion.
Zen Yogi: you're really hungry to Win a Million, aren't you?
Fo' real, Yogi, and shamelessly too when it's soooo close.
