"Schindler's List"

All the highly-polarized news regarding Israel lately has either focused on Israel's bombing in Gaza or Palestinian rocket shots into Israel but nothing much seems to focus on both of them.  When news is so polarized, it always means only one thing:  someone is trying to bullshit me.

So, I did something different altogether and watched "Schindler's List" as I had never seen it before.  I knew nothing of the Holocaust or much of anything about it before reading "Mila 18" by Leon Uris as a kid and it's a novel about what it was like in the Warsaw Ghetto.  Because of that I have felt it was a duty to understand as much as possible about what happened and why it happened.  I did that quite a bit and maybe I thought watching "Schindler's List" would just hammer something I already knew.

"Schindler's List" is not something that would be appropriate to review except to say if you're the other person who has not watched this movie yet then do it.  When it went to silence after it was over I couldn't move and just sat there sobbing for some time.  Nothing has ever affected me like that before in my life.  There are too many thoughts to describe and it wouldn't be appropriate for me to do it as the experience should be your own.
