Kannafoot is talented writer, particularly for financial or historical matters, and he generates quite a bit of material. Regrettably for him, social networks are mostly picture books for children and the inhabitants rarely read anything. Therefore, he is left with one play: make a blog and take it to Twitter and this is about as high-tech as driving a Model A Ford to an Apple Store but it has one salient aspect. Even after all these years, the Model A still works but iPhones only last for two or three.
"The Grape's Vine" lives again and it has been a re-emergence this time since he has used it previously for presenting weighty reviews of the financial swings on Wall Street. It's somewhat akin to Kramer vs Kramer or whatever the name of the Killer Klown on KNN. (Blogger: The Grape's Vine)
Do believe he knows the material as he really, really knows this ground. He doesn't so much present stock tips but rather investment guidelines. In my world, I would be more interested to see him write about sex with space aliens because I know what sex means so maybe I understand something of what these aliens do. However, you can draw your own conclusions about what the space aliens on Wall Street are doing based on some serious evidence from Kannafoot.
Note: he does NOT tear his hair out and wail 'the sky is falling and we will probably all be eaten by wolves.'
Social network people get kind of butt hurt when they're not regarded as the finest wave of modern high-technology but the reality is they're less curious than the average earthworm. Whether social network people look the same on the head end as the ass end is their problem to solve but ours is finding people who actually read and understand words with more than two syllables.
The problem in a social network is you're generally connected to a circle of acquaintances with some unlikely connection to you. There may be a couple of hundred or a couple of thousand of them in your crew but it's still not a large population and can't ever be because that's not the nature of such systems. There is no friend's list on Twitter so your potential audience is anyone who ever looks at that system. The challenge becomes the same as it has always been for any writer: be interesting or starve.
This one is just a PSA but maybe you have seen here anything Kannafoot writes he will take seriously and he knows the material before he says anything. The Grape's Vine isn't an area of any kind of expertise with me but it may be of high interest to some of the regulars. I'll add the link back to the blog sidebar since I removed it when he went inactive some while back. So, it lives again.
Note: blogs will often cheerfully boost each other but they will almost never boost anything on a social network.

Ah, thanks for the plug! That, of course, inspired me to add a blog-link gadget in order to reciprocate the linkage. I never noticed that "blogrolling.com" went defunct at some point, and that's what I was originally using.
How did you get "Feedjit" to work? I tried to add that as well, but it simply displays an error saying it doesn't work with encrypted connections at this time.
Glad to do it and thanks for the reciprocality. I don't know beans about the lingo you use but I know others here take such financial blather seriously and will likely appreciate your seriousness about it.
Google gave the option of using an https link to the blog but I didn't publish it so everything goes out in the clear for http. Maybe you published the https link instead so Feedjit chokes??
Ah, yes. That would explain it. I do use the HTTPS link. (It's the security conscious systems programmer in me, envisioning hackers at ever turn. When it comes to hackers, I feel like Ralphie, ever vigilant for Black Bart and his nefarious gang of thugs.)
Aha, an answer.
I figure for creepers and peepers, hackers and slackers, they already have everything on me from the last movie I downloaded to my produce selection at the market.
