Possible Remedy for Audio Stream Feedback Problem

Killing the USB input level to the mixer seems to remedy the problem since the resulting recording made while the audio stream was live to the net showed no evidence of feedback unless I induced it deliberately (i.e. with the input level).

It's a primitive solution since there's no button for an immediate click.  Check.  That's done.

The problem can't be solved in Nicecast since there's no option to do it.  Killing the input seems to circumvent the problem and a better test is needed some other time but this looked and sounded good.

There's distortion on the concert tape and this is exactly what caused it.  I EQ'ed it out as much as possible but that should not be necessary.  Another consequence is it makes the Galaxy Guitar sound shrill when it's not.

This doesn't mean another gig will come up quickly since the same limitations exist otherwise but this feedback problem won't prevent another gig.

It still bugs the hell out of me for an explanation of why anything goes back to the mixer at all.  There's no reason for Nicecast to do that and yet it happens.  Most puzzling.

Something definitely validated is the problem wasn't coming from audio going back because of the microphone.  For the moment, this solution looks highly golden because it has all the magic ingredients:  it's free, it's easy, and it actually seems to work.
