Kalashnikov Unveils Anti-Drone Weapon and Probably for Civilians

Meet the REX-1

Built on the MP-514K rifle system, the fully modular device comes equipped with interchangeable jamming units, which disrupt GPS, GLONASS, WiFi, and other electronic and radio signals, rendering drones inoperable. Due to its ability to block phone signals, the device also can be used to prevent remote detonation of improvised explosives.

Russia Insider:  Kalashnikov Unveils Anti-Drone Weapon

At first it looks like just another drone killer but considerably more professional than most of them.  However, that last piece sets it apart since I have not heard of that previously.

Check out the video:

That's some most impressive kit and it seems directed toward civilian buyers since whom else is most likely to be at the scene of a drone incursion which is not only invasive but explosive.

Zen Yogi:  won't it be illegal?

Most likely it will in America.  Multiple instances exist of people employing drones as surrogate peepers to look at what you're doing in your private space such as your backyard, particularly when there are sunbathing women in it.  The response among many has been to be to try to shoot them down but typically court rulings have been in favor of the owners of those peeper drones.

Amazon will probably want them illegal as well so no-one can screw with their delivery drones.

Zen Yogi:  what delivery drones, Silas?

Dunno, Yogi, since Amazon has been puttering about with them for years but still no sausages.

Zen Yogi:  does Amazon even deliver sausages?

They deliver everything, mate.  That's where I order rolling papers and rolling machines for my particular proclivities for illegal recreation.
