Day 10 of the Ten-Day-Monster

The original hope was this is a Six-Day-Monster but Yevette has been insisting it runs for ten days.  I've been trying to weasel out of the last four by staying as active as possible, etc but it didn't work and today is the last Day of Joy in this leaky celebration.

It looks like we're clear that this isn't about whining.  You hear 'there's a virus going around' and Cadillac Man said that to me earlier.  Guess what, the virus is in Fort Worth and it moves fast, fast, fast.

Cadillac Man was commiserating about how some things affect you more when you're old and may last longer but I think the Ten-Day-Monster is a one-size-fits-all demon and, young or old, it's going to cost you ten days.  That makes this kind of a PSA but it probably won't help much since the bug is so infectious that you're screwed when it gets inside the house.

The Bath of Ritual Purification still awaits since that hot water will wash away any leftover microbes and that hot water is so good against the achey achey.  I'm still not willing to put up with the cold getting out of the tub so the BRP can wait until the Tenth Day.

Irrelevant side-note:  maybe you remember "The Tenth Victim" in which Ursula Andress was an assassin and had a bra which shot bullets.  (WIKI:  The 10th Victim)

I have no boobies of my own and can't say for sure but, dayum, that must hurt to use them in such a way.  That recoil must be a bitch.

The movie is a satire with some bite to it and may have value to you even after all this time.

In the near future, big wars are avoided by giving individuals with violent tendencies a chance to kill in the Big Hunt.  The Hunt is the most popular form of entertainment in the world and also attracts participants who are looking for fame and fortune.  It includes ten rounds for each competitor, five as the hunters and five as the victims.  The survivor of ten rounds becomes extremely wealthy and retires.  Scenes switch between the pursuit, romance between a hunter and a victim, with a narrator explaining the rules and justification of the Hunt.

Caroline Meredith (Ursula Andress) is a huntress armed with a high caliber Bosch shotgun looking for her tenth victim.  To maximize financial gain, Meredith wants to get a perfect kill in front of the cameras as she has negotiated a major sponsorship from the Ming Tea Company.  Marcello Poletti (Marcello Mastroianni) is the victim.  He is reluctant to kill Meredith because he is not sure that she is his hunter; later he is more reluctant because they have become romantically involved.

Yevette is one or two days ahead of me and she's mostly repaired now.  There's some some hacking because you have to get that gunk out but, you know how that goes too, and that last part may linger for a while but she seems much improved.  The Texas Tallboy is the nefarious character who brought it in here and he's probably cured by now.

Ed:  think of all the helpful antibodies the three of you get out of this!

It does seem they're good for about a year in making you immune to another one and I think that holds true for just about everyone as well.

The beat goes on.  Poor me (larfs).
