Johnny got his gun
and he took it off to war
his body was destroyed
and he could say no more

Another Johnny comes along
because he's young and does not know

He took that gun beside him
and learned it was his friend
but then the same thing happened
war takes all in the end

The peace never comes through killing
It never comes from our dark side
and we hope one day they'll see it
before all of us have died.
