When Saudi Arabia Gets Terrorized, Justice Comes Full Circle

Yesterday the Saudis executed a Shia cleric who criticized the Royal Family and now Arabia is getting criticized by a whole lot more than one cranky preacher.  (The Guardian:  Saudi Arabia: execution of Shia cleric sparks outrage in Middle East)

It's not clear who the Shia cleric was because the Saudis executed so many people that one more cleric only gets lots in the shuffle.  When you execute forty-seven or forty-eight people in a day, you will get almost enough trophy heads to satisfy even Walter Palmer, killer of the Cecil the Lion.

(Ed:  the Saudis keep the heads as trophies?)

Sure they do because that prevents the criminal from ever getting to see Allah.  They keep his head, you know.

(Ed:  what do they do with them?)

They're sent to Mecca where Abdul al Kalamari and his family maintain Allah's Divine Hall of Retribution.  Going to see all those criminal heads is part of the pilgrimage to Mecca and the al Kalamari family ensures the Divine Hall is maintained with at least the decorum of Walter Palmer's trophy room.  Those who make the pilgrimage to Mecca often find lost relatives in the Divine Hall ... or at least parts of them.

ISIS won't do anything about killing a Shia cleric because they're Sunni Muslims and any others, especially Shia Muslims, are infidel dogs.  They share the Saudi penchant for removal of heads but it's unknown if, like the Saudis, ISIS keeps the heads for future review, corporate parties, or product announcements, etc.

Iran has warned Saudi Arabia of repercussions and this sets up the Super Bowl of Muslim terrorism since these countries are the best-equipped militarily in the region.  They also have the advantage of being the only countries in the region which, thanks to American intervention in the other countries, still have functioning governments.

From the standpoint of Washington, there's only one question:  how can we sell the most weapons behind this.  There's the French technique of selling weapons to both sides thus maximizing profits and destabilizing the entire region to ensure a continued market for the weapons.  America's technique for some years has been to sell the weapons to Iraq where ISIS steals them and then America can sell more weapons to other countries to combat the American weapons which were stolen by ISIS.  It's ingenious.

We will lay in a supply of popcorn here in the Rockhouse so we can pop up a batch once the Iranians and the Saudis start terrorizing each other.  Frankly, we're boosting for Iran because there's some payback coming to Saudi Arabia for providing such a loving and non-critical home to the bombers who blew up the World Trade Center.  If Iran starts bombing Saudi Arabia now, why should we complain here at the Rockhouse.

(Ed:  because human rights?)

This is Texas.  Human rights don't mean anything here.
