Ictus Belford at the Dallas Texas Jam around 2009

Ictus Belford, Kim Seifert, and Silas Scarborough doing a song called "Make My Day" at the Dallas Texas Jam in about 2009, maybe 2010.  Ictus Belford had written the song when he was playing with Virtual Live Band, the first actual live online virtual band with four or more people in different countries.

These jams were when Second Life musicians would come out of the virtual world and play for a real audience to show it wasn't all being done with tapes and computers.

As to that ridiculous robe, that was chucked years ago.  I kept the pajamas and the sunglasses, tho.

For me, this was the best moment of the jam.  It happened on the Friday before there was any actual schedule and this really was a jam since there was no plan to do it.  I wasn't sure if Kim Seifert would be there and had no idea Ictus Belford would be there.  This may have been recorded but, regrettably, there isn't a copy here at the Rockhouse.

This was the same weekend in which the kit was stolen so the memories are mixed but that Friday evening was exceptional.  I was surprised by the rest of it since they were playing scheduled sets but that's how they do it.  There were some jams because late, after the scheduled sets, they would make what I know of acoustic jams by forming a circle and playing back and forth.  Electric is too dominating for that unless it's throttled back like a mouse so I didn't participate but it's a cool thing to behold if you ever get to hear one.

There isn't much else I remember about the weekend, at least not positively, but that Friday evening was primo.  Thank you Kim Seifert and Ictus Belford.  Harold theBurrel was another highlight and that man has music in every little corpuscle in his body.
