"Little Bit o' Blues" - Silas Scarborough - Live for Cat at the MusikCircus (audio)

"Little Bit o' Blues" is available on the Ride the Dragon podcast now and it's free.

There was a surprise visit by Cat today so I thought, hmm, let's ride.  We went to the Circus and this is the last song of the set which came of that with the recording running forty-seven minutes ... it pushes forward.

The conscious thought was flying and seeing the tiny blue and orange boy on the beach.  I didn't want to send him sad blues as he knows them too well even at his tiny age.  I wanted to send him free blues, freedom blues.

There are no tricks, no echoes, nothing behind my back.  The picture stabs me in my heart but so what as the boy on the beach got stabbed, not me.  He doesn't need anything to echo.

This wasn't mentioned while I was playing for Cat and it may seem discordant with what I did do.  The thought was there but I thought changing any aspect of the vibe even after the song is finished would not show the kid what I would love to show him, free blues with love, which is also what I want to show Cat and now she knows why I said nothing at the time.

From Cat and I, we love you kid and the picture is another article but running it again would be exploitative.  The purpose isn't to shock anyone but rather to send this kid some love.  Maybe it's too late and maybe it isn't.

In talking with Cat earlier, I told her the blog is my war.  I'm not going to shoot anyone and wouldn't if I could but a lot of people see the blog and in this way I can fight for that little guy, even if it's just to let people know he exists.  From that beginning, love grows and, yes, I do believe this.

Today on CNN I saw a reporter on the beach of an island in the Med as several rubber dinghies full of refugees landed.  An old man knew no English but he had to say something.  He walked to the reporter and gestured he would like to kiss him on his cheek.  The reporter was clearly touched and the man then kissed him on his other cheek.  He smiled and was on his way with a great part of the charm of it being how much overcome the reporter was by it.

So, yes, I firmly believe love grows in this way.  We saw the little boy two days ago.  The report on CNN was on the beach today.

How much the contribution of any single person affects what happens but we see clearly what happens as it spreads to many people as thousands of people were marching in Europe today.

It does grow, rapidly, in fact.
