Washington Holding Casting Calls for "Russian Hackers" Play for the White House

The general purpose excuse for Every Damn Thing has for years been 'the computer is running slowly' but today it's 'Russian hackers messed things up.'  Washington is having a field day and they need more players to testify so they're holding a casting call.

Ed:  I heard even Mario Rubio has a part in it.  Is that true?

Yes, that is actually even true even when he's one of the more nescient of the GOP numbskulls.  Think of it, tho.  If he can get a gig in this show then anyone can.  (CNN:  Senate Russia hearing: Rubio divulges hack attempts)

You can have a future in the melodrama of Russian hacking which was invented as an excuse to cover Hillary Clinton's incompetence but has now expanded as the general purpose excuse to explain the overall disaster of a shitty election.

Ed:  Russian hackers caused the lead poisoning in Flint, Michigan

There you go.  That's the information the Senate needs.  You need to get to Washington to testify.

Ed:  I just made that up!

Relax.  It's Washington and it doesn't matter if you just made it up.

It's really crazy as you can make up anything you like.

Rubio's comment followed after one cybersecurity expert said Rubio himself had been the target of a Russian propaganda campaign designed to help Trump -- although the witness, former FBI agent and cybersecurity expert Clinton Watts, later said that all Republican opponents of Trump were targeted by Russians, not just Rubio.

- CNN

There you have it with a general purpose cover which even extends to Brother Jebediah Bush who is condemned to live a life of ignominy when Hillary Clinton was more of a Republican than he was.  Now Clinton Watts explains that to us:  Russian hackers were at the bottom of it.

Ed:  Russian hackers caused the SEARS business to fail

I thought Amazon did that?

Ed:  no, no.  It was Russian hackers.  Trust me on this.  I have intel connections.

Ed:  is this supposed to be satire?

Nah, this is barefaced contempt for a parade of whining Congressional pukes in expensive suits who never offer anything but excuses before sending us another trillion-dollar invoice for nothing of value except America's meager efforts toward social services.
