Jimmie Johnson Gets Stabbed in CNN Bleacher Report

Jimmie Johnson has been one of the great champions of NASCAR for years and has won many championship trophies and titles.  Based on those facts, some fleabag journo wrote, in effect, he was good but not as great as these guys (CNN:Bleachers:  Will Jimmie Johnson, Like Tiger Woods, Fall Short of Rewriting Title History?)

Joe Menzer, the fleabag journo in question, asks if Jimmie Johnson falls short.  Anyone racing in NASCAR would be happy to 'fall short' as Jimmie Johnson has done in his career since there are only two who have won more than he:  Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt.

Getting onto the podium in third with those two is an earned honor the vast majority of us and especially racers will never know.

Regardless of whether you're a fan of Jimmie Johnson, it's grossly disrespectful to call him any kind of a fail.  NASCAR fans polarize strongly around their drivers but even those who want someone else on the top know a foul shot when they see one.

Note:  it wasn't Tiger Woods' driving in golf which tanked him but rather where he drove (i.e. not home).

Tomorrow, Nico Rosberg has the pole after taking it away from Lewis Hamilton and this will be for the second annual Russian Grand Prix in Sochi.  It's a stunning thing how the black & white Stalinist Soviet Union is reborn in Putin's technicolor with little cherubs waving multi-color flags for the Olympics, Grand Prix with the best in the world, and a vibe from Russia such as we have never seen before.  This ain't yer Daddy's Soviet Union, not anymore.

Sunday is Race Day and we shall see what comes.

Mercedes skips receiving the manufacturers trophy from Putin
Nico is done

It looked like neither Rosberg nor Vettel are close enough to make a serious strike on the title now.

Refusing to meet Putin was stupidly spiteful. There are no politics in speed ... or there shouldn't be.

Then Putin should have had someone else hand trophies like other countries
Hamilton owns this year Even with the crap from Singapore

Disagree. Politics don't belong. He runs the country, he's the big stud, of course he will be there for a big day like that one.
