Science Daily: Smart windows that go from clear to dark in under a minute
There's quite a bit more about how they do it and maybe the interested student would like to pursue it but we don't care how they do it; we're just diggin' the result since previous types of dynamic windows of this nature weren't anywhere near as good as this one.
How about this one since maybe you're toolin' down the road and your car is equipped with these windows but it's also equipped with a Sun sensor of some kind to monitor light levels. Our clever little device could then modulate the power levels going to the windows and change the darkness of the windows in accordance with active light levels.
There's one detail since they can't engineer these windows at such large size yet but give those li'l prodigies a little time.
