"Everybody Knows" | Silas Scarborough covering Leonard Cohen | #Blotto

Zen Yogi:  dayum, Silas, sometimes you get to weaving around like a wiggle worm in the rain

I'm feelin' it, Brother Yogi, as I played all the parts except the drums.  I love the song and I love Leonard Cohen.  It's an example of the Virtual Osmosis Between Friends since Cadillac Man was onto it with Leonard Cohen from far back and left the thought I need to check him out which I finally did after I heard Matthew Perrault covering this one.

Zen Yogi:  is that a new scientific theory?

Sure, I make 'em up all the time.

Zen Yogi:  what do you know about wiggle worms, Silas?

Every worm has to wiggle
every dog has to bark
but better with true love
than with some ugly snark

Zen Yogi:  you have plenty of snark, Silas

Sure but that snark is for those who are sending the Plague and it's not for humans.  We just want to wiggle for some oochie hoochie coo.

Everybody knows the Plague is coming
Everybody knows it's moving fast

- Leonard Cohen

The Plague is #Blotto and so am I but there's a much bigger Plague when Mister Smith isn't in Washington anymore.

ML:  where is the love since I love everybody and the snark makes discordant waves of sociopathic psychosis so how does that work with art?

I love them too, ML, and I was ragged for many years since I've always said I wouldn't even execute Hitler.  I would definitely lock him away until he barks at the Moon but not with hatred.  He just lost his pass to be with humanity anymore.   He won't get TV interviews either since he won't be made a martyr by them.

There is tremendous love for the people who can find their way to the Socialist Ideal without setting traps for themselves such that they fail along the way.  I'm not hugely successful in X Marks the Spot because I never believed I deserved it.

Zen Yogi:  you don't

I know, pal.  My concern isn't me but people who block their own success and happiness by preventing the Socialism which can give it to them.

It's real, ML, since there's one song after the other with the vibe of Sanctuary or even the direct focus on it in "The End of the World in Fort Worth."  The implication of Heaven is obvious but the real Sanctuary is when people cross that bridge to a world of peace and Socialism is the last way left to get there.  Socialism is the Rainbow Bridge and I never considered it so much a symbol of death as one of peace.

It's with great love everything is offered but often that's not how it's received and I do believe it's only because people put roadblocks in front of themselves to prevent achieving the happiness it can give when you take the view happiness is the absence of things which suck.

Mephisto remains in-play with minimal apparent side effects but he doesn't kill the pain altogether.  There is a dose above this one but Yevette couldn't hack it because of Mephisto's Malevolent Machinations in the guttywuts.

Zen Yogi:  Roman vomitorium?

Thanks for that glorious image, my furry buddy.

It's a pain dance, it's a rain dance
and only time will tell
if the light and love we hope to bring
are what can make it all get well

ML:  but it won't make you well

In fact that does it better than anything else can when perhaps people see it and they will get well in any of a number of ways.  Many people read it so there's some possibility that's true.

ML:  now you think you can cure the sick?

Nooooo but I do know about finding happiness rather than constructing it.

ML:  how much happiness could you possibly fuckin' have?

That's it as there is the frame of reference of someone who thinks he or she has got it all.  However, from my own frame of reference, the happiness is remarkable.  It's like when we were laughing earlier that those young 'uns cannot possibly understand and maybe no-one can without being in the boat.

I can't do much of anything and that's a bitch but it still goes into the pile for Well, That's Unusual, Isn't It.  That will be irritating when there's something I need to do since Pet Guilt overrides all but there's no weepy weepy for me as I've said to Yevette a few times, "What the fuck good would it do."

That's not said in some depressive way but rather it's that the problem is the hurty hurt and the best way to lighten it up is to sit down.  The main jam is I'm not dead until the clock stops, it just hurts and pain can be managed.

Art has become much the way you have expressed it when one day it may be in batik or another in acrylic paintings.  Mine is more diverse but it's generally the same since the Art isn't any one thing but the aggregate.  Mostly it's writing today but that's cool when other things are buggered anyway and here's the beauty part:  I would have been doing this anyway.

Writing isn't a consolation prize for the croaker but something I have always felt compelled to do and, with or without the #Blotto, I would do it.

Zen Yogi:  life is until it isn't

Sounds silly but it's true, Yogi.  Every moment is live as in the amplifiers are humming, are you ready to play.
