Maybe Donald Trump Really is Finished this Time

Some hambone suggested Donald Trump may resign and he says this is reliable since he's known Trump for thirty years and ghostwrote his book.

Note:  that makes the Republican record complete since none of them have been shown to do their own written work since they either plagiarize it or get someone else to write it.  Possibly they were too busy being geniuses to spare the time to write it or give credit for it.

The hambone delivers that insight and then gives a chummy smile as if to say, "Trust me."

I don't trust you, hambone; I don't even fucking know you.  If we learned anything from George Clooney, it's that we should never trust any plastic Hollywood cowboy who is grinning all the time.

The key thought is resignation versus impeachment since the latter isn't likely to happen despite all the caterwauling from Centrists who only want to substitute one shitty government with another one.

Centrists:  we care about women's rights!

Sure but you don't give a rat's ass about drone bombing or Saudi weapons sales.  Sit the fuck down and put the Strawbitch (i.e. Kamala Harris) back in her shipping container from Amazon.

We've had smokescreens blown at us by the best since Ronald Reagan was the smokescreen-blowin'est sumbitch of all time.  People even liked him despite knowing he was a hypocritical, satanic bastard.  He could be that charming.  However, there's no chance anyone likes Donald Trump whose arrogance has managed to irritate people across America and around the world.

No American President is going to resign because he's disliked but there's an increasing hubbub about his general competence to do anything and he doesn't have much of a defense since he's managed to look like an idiot after just about everything he's done or tried to do.

Ed:  examples?

The best one is that he called himself The Deal-Maker (or his ghost writer did) and then he broke the Paris Accord.  What should anyone do except laugh at his mindless and destructive arrogance.

Insofar as that was for jobs which are disappearing anyway (i.e. coal miners) and there aren't that many left, the mindlessness goes to the wheels within wheels of an intrigue from Arrakis.

Zen Yogi:  nested mindlessness ... it's a New Age

Congress invented that years ago, mate.  Trump just isn't too good at it and gets caught every time.

Ref:  "Dune" by Frank Herbert

After Trump failed to distance himself from NAZIs, instead giving us some bullshit about all sides as he pushed his mythical Alt-Left, he was marked and that doesn't wash off.  Congress was already questioning his competence but they do it all the more forthrightly now.  Even Ted Cruz got on Trump about it and you're way down in the toilet when an amoral and opportunistic shitbag like Cruz can get superior with you.

Even Steve Bannon is out and he may have been the most white power of anyone on Trump's demonic cabinet.  He says now he will declare war on the White House from Breitbart so look forward to the War of the Bloated Bombastic Bamboozlers ... make it a cage fight, please.

When Trump needs to appeal to the same Fascists who elected him, he's got no visible means of support.  Pride won't make him resign since he's shown himself to be bereft of it but frustration might when he finally realizes he won't get cooperation on anything.

Like Clinton, he has an incredibly thick skin. He isnt going to resign.
Some alt left person may shoot him but short of that you have 3 1/2 more years of him.
Hopefully we will all live through it.
I tried to believe that a CEO might be fresh air but he turned out to be a blowhard that thr likes we have never seen before. And like society, nothing is his or their fault.
My Mom taught me, if you did own it and deal with the outcome. It took me a very long time to live that ideal.

It won't stop a war, tho, since there's huge blather about NAZIs but no-one is doing anything about the CIA.
