After the Navy Buggered Up Another Destroyer, a Message from Pink

Pink was a US Navy submariner and he did his job well as shown by the fact he is still with us.  No-one knows better than he the importance of getting it right on a nuke sub.  He has good reason to take pride in the history of the US Navy and course he's going to be frosted when there's a failure, particularly when sailors die for it.

And now for the beauty part  (drum roll)

Yep, it might be terrorists.

The USS John S. McCain is seen docked at Changi naval base after its accident on Monday, Aug. 21, 2017 in Singapore. The USS John S. McCain was docked at Singapore's naval base with "significant damage" to its hull…

WASHINGTON — The Pentagon won’t yet say how the USS John S. McCain was rammed by an oil tanker near Singapore, but red flags are flying as the Navy’s decades-old reliance on electronic guidance systems increasing looks like another target of cyberattack.

MSN:  US Navy collisions stoke cyber threat concerns

Maybe I might have been missed them but there are no red flags flying.

Zen Yogi:  shouldn't the word have been increasingly instead of increasing

See, you're a bear and you know the language but to cliche-ridden crank pundits it's only a vehicle.

Since that fantasy was written, it's been revealed the McCain lost her steering.  Unknown how that happens without Japanese kamikaze bombers crashing into her but so it goes.

Here at the Rockhouse, we see it as deeply disrespectful of those sailors who were lost when they are used to concoct conspiracy theories before any solid facts about the situation are even known.

A more sobered look from CNN:

The warship suffered a steering failure as the warship was beginning its approach into the Strait of Malacca, causing it to collide with a commercial tanker Monday, a US Navy official told CNN.

The official said it was unclear why the crew couldn't utilize the ship's backup steering systems to maintain control of ship.

Earlier, another US Navy official told CNN there were indications the destroyer experienced a loss of steering right before the collision, but steering had been regained after the collision.

CIA:  (visualize Chelsea Clinton singing with a puppy)

Terrorists cause hemmorhoids
oh, yes, they do, yes, they do
but you remember God loves you
and we do too, yes, we do too

Oh, terrorists cause hemmorhoids
oh, yes, they do, they really do
but we have got some lovely goo
and it's just for you, just for you

- no fucking way The Colonel wrote that

Returning to our report, start the countdown until Rachel Maddow is screaming Russian hackers did it.
