#Photography for the Unusual 8/22

The Rockhouse loves the colors.  In other news:  apparently there's an India Day.

Herefordshire, England

Dew-covered cobwebs are seen on rusty railings near Longtown on Monday morning, as a touch of autumn arrives on the Herefordshire hills

You may not call it high art but the spider may disagree.

With the dew, I'm less likely to walk into the web and that's highly appreciated.

Ilakaka, Madagascar

People hunt for sapphires in red mud. The discovery of pink sapphire in the early 90s transformed this area into a bustling mining hub overnight

It's not beautiful in any travel magazine sense but the people are surviving in a way probably no-one could guess without knowing something about it already.

London, UK

Greenpeace protesters pass into Trafalgar Square as they take part in a parade of inflatable sea creatures to the BP headquarters to protest against the company’s plans to drill for oil near the recently discovered Amazon reef

Bayinguole, China

Villagers put tomatoes under the sun, creating a blanket of deep red, to dry them in Hejing county in the Mongolian autonomous prefecture of Bayingolin

Maybe this is enslavement of the proletariat by the collectivist regime due to the repetitive, manual labor or maybe they're damn proud to make the finest sun-dried tomatoes anywhere and this is what we do.
