"Looking Beyond the Magic Land" #Poetry

Is it a planet without love
when half the children starve
or perhaps the Ones don't know
and think when they have enough
surely there's plenty for everyone
to live just as we do
but they never seem to look beyond
to see how it goes for you

Africa and Asia
are where it gets the worst
where they don't need any ritual
and they can't afford a hearse
They asked where is Jesus
but were told he isn't here
He only feeds white people
so they keep him over there

We can't promise pretty flowers
since those kids will never see them
and they don't want to hear
what happened in Bethlehem
They know no-one is coming
and there's no evidence someone cares
when so many children are dying
and any help is scarce

Feeding all the people
is not such a difficult thing
but that's not what civilizations do
when it's violence they bring
One day we can stop that
There's got to be a way
but sadly for those children
it will not be today
