One for the Mystery Lady:
Maybe this puzzles you since it's a well-known beauty but there's a reason. I gather there's a Monet show in Fort Worth just now and Yevette hopes to attend with a friend of hers. Of course that brings back the story of going to D.C. for the Impressionist show.

I really don't remember what else we did on that trip but that moment when you burst into tears on seeing all the beauty is there forever. It seems like I only flashback on the last bike crash but, noooo, that's not how it goes.
For each of the years of primary Impressionism (i.e. about 1880 to 1888), representative paintings from the world's most important Impressionists were represented in separate galleries. This meant you could start at the 'beginning' of Impressionism and walk through each gallery to watch it evolve. AT&T gets badmouthed for many things but not that one. They put it all together and maybe it hasn't happened again since. Unknown.
There's no sign of yammering on that bridge. It looks like maybe the last place yammering would ever happen. Monet would not have liked social networks (larfs).

P.S. I sent out that little Impressionistic/inspirational play thing I did with your "Field of Buttercups" in mind just today. You will probably get it on Friday (for your eyes only)
I hope she does go as I'll get kind of a vicarious tingle out of it plus her friend is a flaming left wing radical so what's not to like. Hopefully they don't let this show slip away!

Well, don't know how good it is--just quick and sketchy and done just to view over different colored backdrops. I then made colored copies at Kinkos to share with you. The results were interesting and I learned from the experimentation. I will use the process again for more complex pieces in the future. I work very small these days (does not take up a lot of space or time and the media does not get messy). There's a "Painting A Day" movement where folks are doing very small paintings-- 3" x 5"--yes, very small, but it helps to focus on the composition and important details--if the painting is not good at a small size--it wont be any better if it's blown up to wall size!! :)

One thing I know about artists is they hardly ever think their stuff is good! It's usually only the also-rans or the blowhards who get all cocky.

Just watched this on PBS--catch it if you can. She used an Omega? computer--like the one you once had before Apple and used that simple program language to generate plotting of designs--here's a review from YouTube and the link included. She used various technologies in her artwork. This documentary featured Anna Campbell Bliss in her 90's!!

If tomorrow works for you, I'll be here. I'm up and down quite a bit but I'll definitely be trying and Yevette is listening for it too since she uses that phone much more lately
