A Wee Bit of the Political

People would be one hell of a lot more interesting if they were thinking toward fixing things rather than making them worse.  We see US via NATO putting more pressure on Mother Russia than has been seen since the Cuban Missile Crisis.

The irony is Obama plays Krushchev but instead of putting missiles in Cuba to threaten Washington, he puts them outside Russia's borders at about the same range from Moscow.  They say this is different now but you can see for yourself that's rubbish.

Also, as I came to awareness of the world at large, the JFK assassination was a large part of it.  All these years later, snipers in high-rise buildings in Dallas are still the cause of three-day festivals of regret.

So how much cognitive dissonance do you perceive in that array.

It makes no sense whatsoever.  Reason has no bearing when the situation is altogether irrational.

Irrational meant only one thing:  "National Lampoon's European Vacation"

Regrettably, it was just as bad as I remembered and nothing redeeming emerged.  Chevy Chase became the modern Jerry Lewis but pratfalls still aren't funny.  For this one, we have the writers being rational about writing something irrational but that's not a road trip, it's a sewing circle.

For a giant slice of irrational, there"s the all-time masterpiece of "The Godfather" in which we're friends, man, but it's business and I have to kill you.  It's a stunning thing to see intelligent people exhibiting irrational behavior based on seemingly valid reasons when all of it really comes down to I took it because I wanted it more.  No need for a review but it's hypnotically fascinating with its darkness.  Incredible.

The news is largely abandoned because it's a Terry Gilliam movie with no end to it.  When absurdity doesn't resolve to anything it's just madness.
