One more review of the lyrics ... because ... once it's recorded, no matter how much you may want to change something, it can't happen.
it consumes them everywhere
One moment they are here
and next they disappear
X3 We won't bring that inside
It's not that we would hide
but here we will have peace
we will not be denied
X1 You've come to find Sanctuary (spoken)
but you knew all along
it wasn't in the speeches
it was always in the song
X1 Just leave it behind (sung)
you won't need it here
Come feel the love
you have nothing to fear
anymore
sun shines on down / it’s coming around / in your life / in your heart
X2 Come into the light
Sanctuary is here
It's music and peace
it's always been near
next to you
sun shines on down / it’s coming around / in your life / in your heart
X3 Here are all of your dreams
Yes, they are what they seem
This all is real
you know what you feel
right now
sun shines on down / it’s coming around / in your heart / in your life
(guitar break - about five minutes)
Update:
X4 You can't see my face
It would be out of place
when I sing from my heart
of this loving path
with you
sun shines on down / it’s coming around / in your heart / in your life
X5 Come into the light (repeat X2)
Sanctuary is here
It's music and peace
it's always been near
next to you
sun shines on down / it’s coming around / in your life / in your heart
(one instrumental pass of verse / chorus then outro with dive bombs)
X4 is the addition because the meaning of the 'annihilation of self' aspect hasn't been clear enough.
X4 also makes it more overtly a love song but it is one anyway.
I've been thinking it needed to come back to the vocal to exit and this seems the way to do it. Talking of not seeing my face at the start makes no sense because you haven't had time to know whether you will see it.
(Ed: if you turn this into some Viking saga, I'm not fookin' listening!)
It probably won't make it much longer to perform. The biggest time variable is in how long to go with the guitar break because that's the gold for me and I would stay in it all night if something doesn't stop me. That's the discipline part.
(Ed: are you going to chart the music?)
Nope. I wouldn't want to play it from a chart because then I can't change it while I'm playing it.
