Governor Rick Snyder of Michigan presided over switching the water supply for Flint, MI, to a polluted source which resulted in lead poisoning for tens of thousands of people in the city. Lead is a cumulative poison and there is no way to purge your body of it after having been poisoned with it. Governor Rick Snyder knew of the lead poisoning and did nothing about it.
The reaction to the problem has been scandalously weak and this is shown from the front pages of CNN, Fox, and The Guardian to demonstrate the priority the report was given.
Fox News
Places the story far to the bottom of the page and buries it in relative trivial. The Benghazi film is trivial and will probably get even fewer viewers than a Steve Jobs film. The general tone from Fox News has been one of trying to run cover for the governor who is being 'victimized' and Obama's visit to the city was not mentoned.
CNN
The report is placed higher on the CNN page on Fox but there is little observation of Obama's visit to the city but is otherwise more evenhanded than the one from Fox News.
The Guardian
Finally we discover a report of Obama's visit and his reaction to the lead poisoning ... in a foreign news service. Here it's the lead story on The Guardian's news page.
The disgrace in Flint is all the more profound given the attempts to whitewash it and make it go away.

I didn't catch her part in it. I was horrified at the disparity in coverage of something which I sure think should be a major consideration anywhere in the country. This can happen anywhere and right now enormous volumes of methane are blowing out of the ground in California but they can't cap it. Mostly the reaction seems to be don't worry, we don't think it will explode.
