There's Going to Be a Party Tonight

Today's report comes to you from Saint Amand-Montrond where Le Tour de France will arrive tomorrow afternoon.  The teams will arrive this afternoon and the riders will race into town tomorrow.  But someone else arrived today as well.  I'll get to that in a minute.

There some parts of town that don't have streamers over the streets.

It's a lovely back-street here.

But there aren't many like this, there are streamers across the streets almost everywhere!

Here are some flowers as they're putting on a show too:

And of course there are sidewalk cafes.

What about the party?

Well, across the street from where I'm staying is the town square and that alone might not seem like much of a party ... until you know the Tony Bram's Orchestra will be on that town square tonight ... until three o'clock in the morning!  He's a trumpet-playin' man and with a kit this large I guess he must be pretty good!

This was the only room left in town and it directly overlooks the stage!   I couldn't possibly have planned a better position for the show.

Oh yes, there will be a report in the morning.  I don't suppose there will be a whole lot of sleep so the report may come sooner than that.

Cat was saying I was moving too fast and missing things.  Well, not tonight.  There is definitely going to be a party tonight!

Get down the road?? This is about the perfect spot! I check out in the morning and it's not far to where the riders will come into town so I park it out there and wait!
