Artist J. Poplin @juicedawg73
How can I pass on a piece called "Acid Chaos" and I don't mean to keep hyping this cat but, dayum, feel the dynamics. Maybe I'm just not cut out for landscapes although I do like Andrew Wyeth ... sometimes.
This Acid has some type of major action plan and maybe it's even a battle of some sort since we see the defenseless lovely at the bottom and the aggressive tyrant above. You see that too, right?
Ed: maybe they're having sex?
Judging by all that yellow in the center, they must be extremely damn good at it.
Extreme dynamics of this nature are dangerous since you can push that too far and wind up in Marvel Comics territory but Artist J. has the good measure of that and he makes a skillful avoidance while still bringing an immense dramatic to the vibe of it.
As with multiple of his previous works and the question of where should you hang it, the Rockhouse suggests ... anywhere it damn wants (larfs).
I might (i.e. definitely) have done a bit of trippin' in my life and this really isn't so much the nature of what I saw but Hendrix always said, "Different strokes."
There's no way to know if you're seeing the same thing as someone else when you're trippin' and that's why we need Artist J.
Contact him online to inquire about his work. Don't worry about where to hang the piece; it will tell you ... and you will know it's right.
