When a Potato Cannon Just Isn't Enough for You Anymore

No idea what that is, which military is doing it, or anything of that nature but it must make a whale of a big bang.

I do have one tiny question, tho:  We see the person with hands over his or her ears but whomever is holding the camera can't possibly be doing that.  How does that work without shattering your eardrums?

I cleaned out my workshop. The interesting part of this is that I found a potato cannon built during a visit of Yvette and Texas TallBoy.
Yes it is still functional. And yes I will introduce Little Princess to the wonders of rocket propulsion.
And the beauty of UFOs made from dry cleaner bags this winter.
As I said earlier the events are the most important

It works by opening your mouth wide and allowing the pressure to equalize. It'll still hurt, but won't shatter the drums.

He could also wear noise cancelling ear protectors, but more than likely, he's just doing the mouth open technique.

I don't think I would trust the headphones for the answer or at least not all of it and the technique you mentioned may be it.

The potato cannon lives on to another generation!

I'm quite sure I would be concerned about launching UFOs because people are so afraid of shadows these days but mostly I would be afraid of torching the place. I heard people asking for prayers over Gatlinburg and I don't like that idea anyway but I had a strong feeling God had nothin' to do with this. They caught the firebugs who did it and they were extremely young.

Unknown if it's faulty reporting which makes it seem like people torch the forest more in TN but that impression definitely exists. It shocked me to hear how much of it there has been but that report may have been myopic since possibly it only considered TN.

Maybe you remember Rowdy Honkee (just looking for the sort-of sound-alike) who was accused of torching a house back in Clifton. That was bad but I see much worse in starting something in a forest which might result in incalculable deaths. Just to be sure, that's not at all to justify arson anywhere and I don't overlook deaths could have come from that house fire spreading.

Rowdy took a lot of blame for action rhat he had never taken. But he liked the reputation so he never disputed much.
Not much chance of UFOs torching as long as they get above about 100' as,they extinguish themselves on the freefall when they burn through the mounting frame
Far more wildfires are caused by humans than mother nature. The smokies dont burn very often but the drought turned it into a tinder bix this year so a litlle fire turned very ugly

It was never clear but he did get off on it and there was some tire slashing at one time as well. Unknown.

That was the old time rationale as well. We never saw any indication of flame getting near the ground but I think we got one stuck in a tree at the end of Hosea once. You have a much better launch pad.

I'm not sure if this was a lesson or Alex was getting off on the fire. In Australia Alex stopped to see a house burning and it was gutted end to end with flames blowing out all the windows. The place just was engulfed and there was nothing anyone could do except let it go. There are some images which froze and I'm sure I was diggin' it in some kind of way but the impression of holy shit never faded away.

I never realized the extent of the arson and have thought lightning is part the Great Circle ... it burns the pines but the fire starts the cones to germination. I had never considered that humans could do so much of it.

Lighting fires are normal Human fires are not much different but normally you get rain with the lightning that starts them so they dont last long.
But this year was very very dry

Arson is a weird one as the lot of us did some twisted things but none were firebugs as that went off into something no-one wanted to touch. I guess there's some Freudian analysis of why people do it but I would be more interested to know how to get them to stop it short of shooting them in self-defense.

The UFOs have been fun for years but we were always conscious of this is cool ... until it starts a fire. That same sense seemed to be in everyone and it's just tough to reach when people get off on them.
