Then there's the great relief of getting stitches removed. Pulling them out doesn't do that much but it seems to help a bit with losing the itching. I asked the dermo doc if they use a different type of suture relative to orthopods and their staples because I thought maybe the staples resulted in less itching.
She said only, "Interesting," and this, in non-doctor English, means 'sounds like bloody rubbish.'
Fair enough as how do I know if I don't ask.
It's ok as I don't anticipate any more ortho surgery any time soon so it didn't matter that much. The reason for the question was to ask them to go ortho style next time and screw it with the fancy stuff but no need for it.
Nothing they removed showed a need to remove any more so all is done until the next round next month.
Yesterday I discovered the lung biopsy was still scheduled and it was for today as well. I tried in several long phone calls to get it canceled but that didn't work and the girl at the other end tried everything she could. Hopefully Surgery got the message from her as nothing else worked. That's important as writing off anything with a no-show is extremely bad form because that may cost a vet a slot for a needed procedure.
The problem with cancelation is not with the way VA people do things and the people are incredibly dedicated. Supplying them with adequate resources is the responsibility of Congress and the GOP shoots down support regularly because they want to privatize VA.
Generally life's status seems adequate although (sob) it was not possible to stop at Waffle House. Happiness is defined as the absence of things which suck and one thing which sucks is the absence of Waffle House. Therefore, calling on our high school algebra, we see it's possible to find happiness by going to Waffle House.
Now you know.
Before you read any lament into this, I would eat a Waffle House breakfast before any other in my memory. The eggs are right to order and the hash browns are excellent for eating with them. Nowhere else really gets hash browns right and they make them in all kinds of different ways if you like. Maybe for y'all this is slumming but for us it's stylin' and fo' real because it can't happen often.
Those hash browns and eggs with a big glass of milk give that highly desirable Waffle House happiness.
(Ed: um, not today!)
Well, thanks for sucking the soul out of this party, Merlin. I love you, man, no shit.
The tightness from the cuts on the right arm and shoulder do not feel like they will inhibit playing. The other is just a nuisance and is not related to guitar play. All need some more stretching to move below damn nuisance stage but that situation is far reduced from the itching.
Therefore, get on with it.
