The subject of "The End of the World in Fort Worth" has come up multiple times and that's the best target just now: finish dat bitch.
The video has been all set for months as I like the concept and I (mostly) like the shoot. It's been needing the One Killin' Song which is the Musical Salvation as the world explodes. Make it religious if you like but it makes no difference whatsoever. This is the Rainbow Bridge and it's not about death but life.
In "The Necromancer" song, he comes to us but this time we go to him. Some say he is evil but this one is not. There are many Necromancers but this one is mine and he doesn't suck out your soul for amusement as some are reputed to do. He doesn't want to steal your soul, he only wants to talk to it because that helps him see the future. You would see it too but most of you have forgotten.
If you don't believe this, how do you explain deja vu.
It's not that we can't see the future but rather many of us don't want to see it. There are no doors across the Rainbow Bridge and you can look forward or backward with equal ease.
The chords for the "Capture" song are what I had hoped to be the "One Killin' Song" and they may well be. The Galaxy Guitar has the mournful sound for that type of situation but hopefully you also find it beautiful.
The last thing we saw in downtown Fort Worth was Gabriel blowing his horn from the side of a building. There was some question of transposing the riff he plays but it may not be necessary.
To shoot it, I need full lasers and smoke with blazing effect. That's not simply for ooh wow as the objective is complete visual chaos after touring Fort Worth which is relatively plain. So then you see the wizard on the porch beckoning you to come in to the show. There's the crossover from the featureless night to a surreal world you did not know existed. The situation in the city was grim as people were vaporizing as they walked down the street. From that stark image comes brilliant multi-color lasers and smoke to give them trails through the air. The contrast is deliberate ... plus I really dig screwing around with lasers.
Just now that would over-amp me like sticking my head in a microwave but the content looks like a fair shot and completing will feel like I really did something. I believe it's worth doing because it's not a trivial story and I want it told right.
Some question of whether to use deep bass Silas or natural voice. It makes no difference to me except insofar as one or the other tells the story the best. There was some reticence about the deep voice as maybe it seems I mock some black guy. That isn't what I'm doing as I'm not mocking anyone, he simply has a deep voice.
This would be an excellent target.
It might be cool to continue with it and go into "Hey Baby - Silas version" from that. In doing this, the songs must not run long or they will be going back to the End of the World because they get tired of them.
Yep, definitely an excellent target, maybe even two.
