You Will Conform; By God, You Will Conform | The Too Many Geese Conundrum

People on Facebook, with one notable exception and salute to you, sir ... were seriously pissed about my stance on the Manchester bombing.

Conform, damn you!

How can you compare Palestine and Manchester, you loathsome, wretched barbarian!

That aspect is easy.  There are dead people in Manchester and dead people in Palestine and we could ask them if there's a difference ... but they're fuckin' dead.  Apparently the premise is there are good victims and bad victims?  Who the fuck cares how their logic works since we know how the system works.

If there's any disparate position on Facebook, they will come out in droves to crush it.  There are multiple articles here from peer-reviewed science on the nature of conformity and systems which engender more of it.  What do you know, Facebook is an easy winner but they won't read such a thing because it doesn't conform to the pre-baked notion Facebook is a loving place of friendship.  That illusion alone is enough of a reason to destroy it since that blinds people to a tremendous number of things.

They're still carrying the Clinton as Joan of Arc Ideal and the only conclusion from that is news in Facebook is no news at all.

Somehow people have segmented the idea of good bombers and bad bombers and you see the immediate danger in that.  Whatever whacko bombed Manchester is a bad bomber but Netanyahu is a good bomber because ... wtf ... and Obama is the Best Bomber.  Don't look for logic; it isn't there.

That kind of simplistic reductionist logic and resistance to anything which doesn't conform is the ultimate Marine Le Pen wet dream in glorious living technicolor goo in the most obscene of all possible shades.

Ed:  and you bitch about purple in The Guardian?

They're such amateurs.  If you're going to slash something then be fucking merciless.  As with most of the editorial content on The Guardian they're just shallow wimps about it and that's why the biggest draw with that rag is the pictures but all of them are pushing agendas too just now.  When they get past that Neanderthalism, we can see some photography again.

It's logically impossible to be politically-correct while also delivering a full measure of purple.  The li'l snowflakes are so hamstrung by their own silly conventions they won't say boo to a goose and it doesn't seem they would even know which end to address although we have our suspicion on that.

Ed:  so you see goose-sniffing liberals at The Guardian?

Yah

Ed:  and goose-stepping Republicans pretending to be Democrats?

Roger that

Ed:  and real Republicans goose-stepping all over everyone?

Fuckin' A, Bubba, so the interested student can readily discern the problem.

Ed:  which is?

Too many geese
