General "Mad Dog" Mattis' Advises on Our Precious Bodily Fluids

General "Mad Dog" Mattis was regarded as an intellectual due to his wide reading and he ran Task Force Ripper as a Lieutenant Colonel in Iraq.  (WIKI:  James Mattis)

Check out his medals as they're highly ordinary for a so-called 'Mad Dog' with salad all over his chest.

Here's General Ripper to talk about our precious bodily fluids.

Some more intellectual gems from the Mad Dog:

Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everybody you meet.

There's nothing better than getting shot at and missed.  It's really great.

You know, guys like that ain't got no manhood left anyway.  It's a hell of a lot of fun to shoot them.

Maybe he got these insights from Marcus Aurelius ... but he should have left them there.  Marcus Aurelius is said to have describing how to find and preserve equanimity in the midst of conflict by following nature as a source of guidance and inspiration.  We observe, however, in nature animals hardly ever kill their own kind so it doesn't seem he learned much from them.

Holy mackerel.  I feel more intellectual already.  In any case, I hope he was a better general than he was a writer.  Since the military is still in both regions, it's safe to assume he was not.  A soldier can be a fighting man or an asshole and some, like Mattis, can manage to be both.

Mattis also probably wore pink nighties and danced by himself while he listened to Adele.

Note:  read the WIKI to find the basis for that last.
