It's Late But Give it Another Go

The first thought on awakening was you're up so record "The Sanctuary Song" again.  The second thought was using the toilet and on the way back from there, I heard Hillary Clinton on the television and quickened my step.  I said to Yevette, "You know.  That bitch is so over-exposed it pisses me off now just to hear her voice."

Someone said earlier the opposition to Clinton is blazing sexism but that has nothing to do with it since the objective is to keep ANY Clinton out of the White House and she must be stopped because of duplicity and misrepresentation rather than boob presence.

At least Condoleezza Rice, the most despicable woman previously in Washington, had the grace to take criticism for what it was (and ignore it as all Republicans do) without copping a spineless plea of sexism.  She probably doesn't care anyway as, like the rest of them, she laughed all the way to the bank.

Hillary Clinton is being judged on her performance, her bad performance, rather than any aspect of sexism.  We don't like how she acts like a peacemaker when she makes weapons deals all over the Middle East.  Her candidacy is a gross misrepresentation and we will protest every millimeter of her presence in the campaign just as vigorously as the destroyers from the GOP since all are functionally equivalent.

Simply hearing Clinton's voice poisoned the vibe and it's part of the reason I stay away from television since it's just an endless parade of talking heads with nothing in particular to say and that's when we hear of Santa Claus and his skin color.  That kind of vacuous imbecility pays big bucks ... but we don't have to watch and we don't.

So, I'm sexist because I think Megyn Kelly is a rabid animal and should be in a cage, I suppose.

Democrats aren't war hawks ... ever.  Obama was one and failed.  Clinton wants to continue that failure and she has to be stopped.  The GOP doesn't know anything but military failure since the only success the military has had in the modern era was in WWII.  Every other conflict either went to a loss or a stalemate.  Korea is shattered, Yugoslavia is shattered, and the Middle East is shot all to hell from one end to the other.  The American military redefines incompetence into a dimension no-one ever knew before.

Example:  the US Navy has launched three new warships recently.  The Zumwalt was their star but they discovered after it was at sea it cannot handle rough seas and big waves.  There are two others called littoral ships and one broke before it got to its first port after launching and the sister ship broke today.

The American military is much like the American medical system insofar as it costs more than anywhere else in the world and it doesn't fucking work.

Clinton was muttering something about a peace plan but where was it eight years ago when she picked up George Bush policies and didn't change so much as the letterhead on that mad bomber's malicious ideas.  Bush failed to bring Syria into complete chaos during his administration but Obama and Clinton didn't and now the entire region is down the toilet.

Bernie Sanders said get the hell out and hell yes to that.  Let the Saudis deal with it as they've got the fourth-largest military in the world, in part because of weapons Clinton sold them, and that military doesn't do anything in the Middle East except bombing the shit out of Yemen.  As you may recall, the US went to war with Iraq for bombing the shit out of Kuwait.  There is no military policy in Washington beyond whatever makes the most money for Lockheed Martin.

The only saving grace to Obama foreign policy anywhere was in Iran and opening it may well be the only thing which will be remembered positively from his Presidency.  The immediate response from Iran is they need to buy five hundred airliners so they can resume flights to the United States.

In a world which isn't looking through the eyes of a Lockheed Martin war profiteer, we see one huge dividend from peace and this one will be gigantic because those aircraft will come, most likely, from Boeing or Airbus, with some small chance Russia would get the contracts.  Airliners sell for something like a hundred million dollars so this deal will be for big, big bucks.  And it never would have happened if anyone listened to GOP policies.

Gloria Steinem might have suggested bombing the hell out of defenseless countries and we missed it. We don't think that's likely but must admit anything is a possibility ... except, of course, Hillary Clinton in the Presidency.  Not now, not ever.

Now, if you want to talk about Elizabeth Warren then we will get behind her honesty any old time.  We would love to see her running with Bernie Sanders and it would be glorious to see Hillary Clinton left in the dust with her tens of millions of profiteering dollars.

Good job working for peace, Clinton.  Now get the fuck out of here.

The Bern also said that he is planning one of the biggest tax hikes in history to pay for his plans. Also said if I increase your taxes by $5000 but eliminate healthcare premiums by $10000 Why would you be upset. How is he going to cut healthcare costs by 50% And that is not counting education for all. The 6.2% payroll tax with be passed straight through the employer to the employee so that is a lower class tax not a rich businessman tax

And he refuses to answer a plan to redefine the tax code to stop tax inversion

I was just reviewing an emergency room claim.
Patient was there for 4 hours Hospital charge $4800. Attending Physican charge $1768.
Now I have excellent insursnce
Its premiums are about $12000 and max out of pocket is $6000 for the family.
So my cost was $150
Unless The Bern can control those costs he can not come close to his hopes and dreams of affordable healthcare
PS The extent of the care was two shots of a $40 drug and 3 hours of observation

Different hospital
10 days of outpatient therapy
total cost $25147. 10 patients per group.
No medical tteatments just group therapy
These are the costs that need to be fixed.
No Drs involved in therapy

Similar to what happened with my shoulder the first time. The surgeon charge was about two grand and the total bill was over twenty grand and think closer to twenty-five grand. All you need is a white coat to charge ten times as much as you should.

I'll post a chart of Sanders' tax brackets, percentages, etc in a little while.

Employers will pass the 6.2% payroll tax on to their employees unless you stop them
So it won't show up in your tax brackets

He could stop the tax inversion, tax business have a normal rate for the money they keep overseas and pay for a s*** ton of stuff
But for some reason everybody thinks that 50% of nothing is much better than 20% of something

Now posted - less than a nightmare, actually

It really amazes me people defend these multi-billionaires as if they ever did anything for you. They don't build anything except tacky hotels and they're just parasites from what I see of them.

I hope that Bernie can do what no other president or congress has been able to do. This is to provide a single payer health insurance system that eliminates the for profit private health insurance industry. This would be to overturn a system that was promoted under the Nixon administration to supposedly decrease health care costs by increasing competition.

However, it is so firmly entrenched and supported by the entire health industry it will be difficult. Hillary and Bill Clinton tried and failed (she did get care for children of the poor approved which has benefited millions of children). Ted Kennedy made it his goal from the time private for profit insurance was created to go to a single payer system. He even made this a deciding factor when he endorsed Obama. Obama with a democratic controlled legislature in both houses was unable to get it done and therefore compromised with Obamacare (Bernie has stated he wrote some of this compromised legislation). This did extend health care to millions more who were uninsured.

Bernie is correct that change can only happen if the American people unite and demand it. However, health care costs are well hidden so many Americans still see it as affordable. Anonymous' $6578 bill that cost $150 is a good example. I have received many similar ones. For example, a $60,000 oral surgery bill for my daughter that cost me about $3700 (this did not even include an overnight stay in the hospital). The real cost of that surgery to me was not $3700 but not $60,000 either. It is much like taking a trip and figuring the cost of gas as the total trip expense.

There is an excellent article that was in the Washington Post: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2014/01/13/what-liberals-get-wrong-about-single-payer/ . It states that the private insurance companies are just one component of a health care system that overcharges we the people. The hospitals, doctors, pharmaceuticals, medical device providers all charge much more than in any other country. Many of the countries do not have single payer but they all have single pricing. In other words, all providers must charge a fair price that is not hidden from the consumer (much like Medicare). It states that politicians are reticent to legislate against the very people who hold our lives in their hands.

This country has come together when it was for the overall good - ex: American Revolution, Civil War, World War II, trust busting legislation of the early 20th century, union worker movement, civil rights, women's rights.. There were in many of the cases substantial dissent. It took resolve and great leadership to overcome the dissent and accomplish what was for the greater good of all the people.

I hope Bernie Sanders can bring the American people together to get a single payer health system accomplished. It would mean abolishing a system that while not working so well for consumers, has benefited a well-paid and influential part of society for 5 decades.

He is not taxing the billionaires. They dont own anything
There is a huge difference between the tax bracket percentage and what is actually paid

The effecti e tax percent is what counts
