Mutt and Jeff was a famous comic strip a million years ago or so.
Maybe this relates Mutt and Jeff more to the present time.

As you likely suspected, this has nothing to do with Mutt and Jeff so much as Donald Trump and James Comey who give us endless comedy doing exactly the Mutt and Jeff act although with more toxic variations.
It got funnier today since WikiLeaks gave us the Show Me the Beef Play and is offering a huge reward for the Loch Ness tape recording of conversation(s) between Donald Trump and James Comey.

Good point although it could pass for a comedy; I would watch that. There's no way anyone could possibly dream up the Washington story and it makes endless comedy.
