Ford Unleashes the Most Hellacious Street Rod Ever

Unbelievably, this Ford GT is street-legal.  (AutoBlog: Ford GT Competition Series sheds weight and slathers on the carbon fiber)

As for optional accessories, well, there are no accessories.

Finally, Ford deletes the air conditioning, infotainment system, cupholders, radio, and storage bins.

The lines of the GT almost have Ferrari elegance although it would be cooler if it were all black.  That would be one demonic automobile.

There were no specs on the GT in the article beyond how it was built but anything even resembling the original GT has to have Le Mans class.

The GT is being released as an extremely limited edition of only two hundred and fifty but Ford didn't announce a price.  More than likely, if you don't also own a personal yacht, it would probably be pointless to ask the price.

Now visualize Walter Matthau driving one.  That image comes from "A New Leaf" in which he was a rich playboy with a Ferrari which was constantly afflicted by 'carbon on the valves.'  Now imagine the rich playboy driving this beautiful GT in Manhattan traffic.

Matthau was going broke so he planned to find a rich woman to marry her and then kill her to inherit her money.  Comedy ensues.

No a street rod, for street rids look for any of the Dodge Hellcat series, Mustang Shelby or Rousch series or Camaro ZL1
All push 600+ HP
And in the case of the Shelby and ZL1 are almost track ready

I knew 'street rod' was stretching it but try cruising Ventura Blvd in this one. Isn't that the street where they did all the cruising??

For track ready, the GT is brutal since for accessories you get a seat and a steering wheel. The GT has always been my one true love with Ford but I bet it's a real bastard to drive when you're not on a track.

This vehicle should definitely take the driver out of the seat and drive itself. Therefore, no seat or steering wheel necessary. Forget the converted van this is my next vehicle. Elvis gave his friends vehicles like this one. So, I see no reason why Silas can't do the same. I'll happily pick it up in Second Life. OK?

most super cars they have a street mode And either a set of switch or codes to unlock the true power
Very much like the valet mode in most new high power cars

It's a generous offer but I see this one as a vehicle for looking at rather than sitting in. My speed is still the same with a Merc diesel in a Sprinter. If you're fixin' to send a replacement for the Galaxy tour bus down this way then that would be just fine, Elvis.

I notice quite a bit with those hotshots that they don't have much luck getting the power on the ground and YouTube is full of them getting too much wheel spin on acceleration and then fishtailing into something. Maybe the driver switched it up to track power to grandstand for the friends.
