Arizona Brings the Sickest Answer Yet to Capital Punishment in America

For general depravity in execution of people in America, Oklahoma, Ohio, and Arizona are the leaders with execution procedures which have botched an execution the worst, each of them extending that horrendous event out to thirty+ minutes.

But that wasn't enough to make it a torturous Inquisition for Arizona.  Due to the increasing difficulty in acquiring drugs from Europe which are suitable for executions, Arizona has suggested those who will be executed can 'Bring Your Own' execution drugs.

Here at the Rockhouse, we almost admire the sickness of this one.  Holy fuck!  In what kind of Marquis de Sade hellhole did they find you, brother?  (RT:  Arizona lets death row inmates bring their own lethal injection drugs to executions)

The article has some twisted comedy since various lawyers issue definitive pronouncements regarding the legality and feasibility of such a law but none make the observation we're already over the edge when such a law is even considered.

However, we can get with the spirit of it.  Convicts should be allowed to bring party hats and a choral group of their own choosing.  We have it on reliable authority that convicts are fed-up with executions being taken so seriously.  They demand to know why they are supposed to take it seriously when, wtf, they will be dead anyway in a couple of minutes ... or thirty+ if they're in Ohio.

Ed:  are you seriously trying to shame people into halting executions?

Nah, shaming them is impossible but eventually they will shame themselves into doing it.  Shaming encourages young people to commit suicide but doesn't seem to do much beyond that.

When the news is already something Kurt Vonnegut would write, there's no angle beyond that.  WTF do you mean you can bring your own drugs to an Arizona execution.  Lewis Black observed the same thing and that Saturday Night Live is just using the actual lines spoken by various politicians since they're so ridiculous they're funny even without change.

I saw one of the bits by Alec Baldwin and thought it was amusing but heavily-overdone.  For my own taste, it would have been much funnier if Baldwin had underplayed the role so it was tough to tell which parts were serious and which were not.  Then we've got a game but otherwise for me it's just vaudeville and it's repeating on a weekly basis.  I watched the first bit Baldwin did but only saw snippets from others and that was sufficient.

Ed:  aren't you the lofty bitch!

Yes but there you are fluttering around at this lofty altitude so tell me I'm wrong, Condor Man.

If Saturday Night Live had any real balls, they would be doing a bit on Netanyahu but there's no way they want to anger Israel and that's one of many reasons SNL will always be in the junior league.

How about if SNL did Charlie Hebdo trolling little children for sex games.  Charlie Hebdo would go total ripshit over, my God, the outrage of it; where's your human decency.

Tell you what, Chuckie.  If you want to find human decency, how about you start looking in Arizona.
