The best result is when Yevette asks, "Did you record that?"
The worst answer is 'nope' but it's the only one I've got and it's ok as it felt sooooo damn good to do it.
Neil Young was playing "Rockin' in the Free World" with Pearl Jam but then I figured, wtf, rock your own free world. The Galaxy Guitar wasn't even tuned that well when I first started but a twang bar will make it work anyway. It only takes three chords for the jams of it and then you're set to play, oh, ninety minutes or so.
That went into "Ride the Dragon" but the main part of it only has three chords in generally the same pattern. That felt pretty good anyway but I wanted to mix it up some more than that so "The Sanctuary Song" followed that. The axe did get tuned along the way.
The overall vibe is splendid, maybe completely wiped-out now but splendid nevertheless.
There was no looking for flowers this time because we have known where they went ever since we were young.
Ed: Facebook?
Nah, they're mostly spectators.
Ed: will you go back?
Not much as the provincialism is appalling. If I could fix their loneliness, I would do it but my supreme powers don't reach that far.
Ed: is this leading to John Lennon?
No way in hell unless it's "Helter Skelter" but not just now. The silence feels kind of good after it's been so bangin' loud for the Rockhouse Inauguration concert. I'm surprised the cops didn't come as it wouldn't be the first time but not down here. This neighborhood is incredibly cool about that. It sounds like a party patrol with the new people next door since they have a good times with Hispanic music quite a bit. Probably it will stay cool like that here.
If you're looking for something on TV, consider Venezuela. Don't get too frothy, Elmo, as you should guess they're going to black it out but it's still a riot.
