The Ultracrepidarian Science of the Middlin' "Left"

The Rockhouse lets the dogs out on those who call themselves liberals in this graceless age but there are some who still pretend and they were marching today to protest Monsanto and GMO.

Hundreds of activists around the globe joined an international march against the multinational biotech and agribusiness corporation Monsanto. The demonstrations were held under the slogan, “Keep GMOs out of your genes.”

“We will not stand for cronyism. We will not stand for poison. That’s why we March Against Monsanto,” the organizers of the 6th annual march said in a statement. http://www.march-against-monsanto.com/home/

The activists argue that “research studies have shown that Monsanto’s genetically-modified foods can lead to serious health conditions such as the development of cancer tumors, infertility and birth defects.”

The movement’s website says work to organize rallies was carried out in more than 200 cities.

The Rockhouse reviews current science constantly and there's nothing in it about reservations about GMO but rather the opposite in which there are multiple research threads using CRISPR-Cas9 technology to facilitate genetic recombination.

Talking to these Luddites about science is like going to Congress to find the Lord; it ain't ever going to happen.

“Keep GMOs out of your genes.”

Well, that's clever, isn't it.

The GMO is already in your genes since there are many reports of GMO approaches to curing genetic disease.  None of them do anything, however, regarding mental thickness or density.

The biggest problem with Monsanto is its exemplification of the cancer of corporate conglomeration and the way such demonic beasts try to selectively control markets such that only their GMO seeds are available.  In that context, Monsanto is one of the worst in America for maintaining the pretense any company will run better after it's bought by some other which knows little to nothing about it.

That principle is America's Divine Right of Executives but thus far the results have been less than illuminating.
