Mark Zuckerberg Heralds the Arrival of the Age of neoCensorship - Science

The response to fake news by the fake news vendors (i.e. MSM for smooth and Alex Jones for ugly) has been to romance censorship like Romeo pitches a woo to Juliet.  We have already seen it with the reaction to Russia Today which has never been backed by any type of corroborative evidence just as there's been no real evidence of Russian hacking.  That's the surface censorship which is easier to spot.

Much more difficult to spot and practiced routinely by MSM is the lie by omission and Facebook is stepping right up to that cause.  If they didn't see it then it never happened.  Welcome to online Truth or Consequences where there are no consequences since no-one ever knows the truth.

Phys.org:  Facebook ramps up its response to violent videos

It seems much of the enmity toward Russia Today is due to Abby Martin (link in the sidebar) who is one of America's foremost dissidents and her information is meticulously researched.  When you can't fault the research then fault the researcher; it's the MSM way.

Hillary Clinton was the most dangerous person in America but mostly she's just turning to fat and blubbering on herself now.

"I coulda had class.  I coulda been a contenda" - Marlon Brando in "On the Waterfront"

Ed:  dat bitch never had any class in her life!

You got that right, mate.

Mark Zuckerberg is moving up to take the title for Most Dangerous in America since the way he has been subverting truth on Facebook has been an offense nature and humanity.

One researcher claims the effect of fake news has not shifted anyone.  (Phys.org:  Fake news and filters aren't fooling internet users)

Despite what some politicians argue, fake news and biased search algorithms aren't swaying public opinion, finds a Michigan State University researcher.

Commissioned and funded by Google, William Dutton, director of MSU's James and Mary Quello Center in the College of Communication Arts and Sciences, and researchers from Oxford University and the University of Ottawa, conducted a survey of 14,000 internet users in seven nations: United States, Britain, France, Poland, Germany, Italy and Spain.

That looks like a relatively comprehensive survey so what has he got.

Most users aren't silenced by contrasting views; nor do they silence those with whom they disagree.

- PO

Depending on your perspective, that may appear to be patently false but it's true insofar as the silencing took place at a higher level within MSM in which news such as that of the huge rallies Bernie Sanders was holding was almost entirely absent from any MSM coverage.

Much of Clinton's support came from the stilted online view since it wasn't coming from booming attendance at her rallies which were often mocked for the no-shows.

The Rockhouse sees Dutton's conclusions as largely useless since they don't address which news is omitted and that omission is the most scurrilous kind since it gives the appearance of truth to that which remains.  That's Basic Propaganda 101 and MSM is riddled with it.  What you believe from MSM really doesn't make much difference when that view is filtered before anyone ever sees it and Mark Zuckerberg is at the head of the parade for extending that censorship and propaganda even farther.
