"Helium" | Kevin Farrell

"Helium"

Check out Guitar George as he knows all the chords and he does too.  The way he turns a phrase in his poetry is the marvel for me since he's not one for turning stock phrases.  His work is original in every way it can be.

Cat told me about the song and she talked of how the song isn't depressing for her but rather lifting.  While he has nowhere to hide, he becomes helium which is part of something bigger, if you want to get kozmik with it.

"Comin' to Take Your Child Away"

Kevin Farrell is Lefty Unplugged in Second Life and it's been my privilege to know him in both worlds where I it was also my privilege to meet his wife.  They're lovely people and his life is as the poetry he writes; it's extraordinary since few give themselves to music so completely and lovingly.

Their generosity when I saw them is appreciated to this day since the one thing you can be sure about packing any years onto your life is you find it's cold all the time.  Those sweaters are incredible and I had an Icelandic sweater for ages which was as warm as anyone could want but it was a casualty along the way somewhere.  These ones are just like that and thanks again for the thought and the gift.

lefty Unplugged plays at Cat's MusikCircus every Monday evening (Euro time) / afternoon (Pacific time) and he said something special about playing there but I won't reveal since it's probably too personal.  Do know it was an extremely special thing he said.

See the sidebar for a link to Cat's MusikCircus information on Facebook.
