If You're Looking for a Hero

Pat has got the heroes, hot or cold.  The photograph is from a series entitled "The Lonely Cars in New York" and there's a surprising poignance.

The photographs were shot by Langdon Clay in the mid-seventies and the rest of the series can be seen on the link.

Just one more ...

It seems White Castle is mostly New York to Midwest but I'm not sure.  I had never seen a White Tower and it turns out these ones are almost as old White Castle.  No trouble seeing where they got the theme.  White Tower sold hamburgers for a nickel during the Great Depression.

In case you're unfamiliar with 'sliders,' this is where you get them.  There are many more graphic names for their hamburgers but I'll defer on those for now.

White Castle and likely White Tower as well are where drunkies go at three in the morning to see if getting something to eat will prevent getting disgustingly sick from the drinking.

The photo series continues in that way with each photograph seemingly trivial but acquiring poignance as you look at it.
