Doctor Yevette Saves the Day and Without Gory Pictures

After almost counting down the hours to get the dressings removed, that blessed moment came and went with Doctor Yevette presiding.  When the biggest ones are on my back, my hands aren't tied but they still can't fookin' reach them so she saved the day.

Doctor Yevette was a real trouper as there's some gore to doing this but using the magic hydrophilic lotion is unbelievably soothing and healing.  It provides moisture without getting wet in some kind of weird magical way so that helps things loosen back up again.  This isn't some witchie compound but rather it's part of the prescription.

Now is the Time of Great Relief as there are still reasons to bitch but a whole lot of reasons got removed so we call that relief.  There's no need for a windy explanation since one word will do it:  TAPE.

Pain we can handle but itching drives us berserk (larfs).

There was a pic after the last round because I was shocked at the size of the incision but that's a one-trick shock so now it's just more of the same and no need for a gorefest.

Also comes the potential to play but it's more attitude driving things than anything else as in the thinking is play some belting guitar just because you can.  All in all, that's a peach of a good reason.

The rationale now is I didn't tear the stitches when I did that stunt right after the surgery and it's much less likely now when they have some more mileage.  That's not a free pass but it's not a stop sign either.

Meanwhile, here's a much better pic and these are the Picos de Europa along the North coast of Spain.  It's important to note that or otherwise you will likely think these are mountains well to the Northeast in the Alps.

These mountains are not far North of the Camino de Santiago but the actual Way is relatively level and is said to be an easy hike.

Those look like extremely young mountains. Is that area geologically active, still?

I don't know the relative ages but my guess would be they're more or less in parallel with the age of the Alps since they represent kind of a tapering lineage after the Pyrenees which are East and a bit North and the Alps Northeast from those.

When I see the Eiger or the Matterhorn, they look so brutal and fresh-struck it seems they must be relatively new but that leads to speculation about some cataclysm which raised a mountain range all the way across Europe more or less at once and what a spectacle that must have been.

Well, yes, that cataclysm did (and still does) exist. You see it today in the Andes in South America as well, and to a certain extent in the Rocky's. In all of those cases, it's the collision of continents that's forming the mountains, and that collision is still in progress. Many of those ranges are still growing. In Europe, you have 3 major plates all playing bumper cars, and the result is some absolutely amazing mountain scenery.

It seems they should have the benefit of some cataclysmic earthquakes but they don't seem to much afflict Europe in current times. The area of the eastern Med and on East from there enjoy many hugely violent earthquakes but my knowledge of tectonics isn't enough to cover whether that's an extension of the evolution of the Alps or something different altogether.

Seriously...."The Way"....can't make this stuff up!

That actually might be the cheapest way to do it but it's still fifty bucks with ten for shipping. Over eight bucks for each one. Whew! Shipping on the canned chili is murder, tho.

Unbelievable ... shipping on 15oz cans is the same. Twenty bucks more for the chow but much better value. Can't do it just now but that could happen sometime. That and Amol India are always missed.

That's why the stuff in the pouch would probably be cheaper to ship?? I have not actually seen it, but there was a coupon for it in the paper. I would have to wait to do anything--payday is probably same for you cause of last name--second week in the month. Yea, the shipping is a big factor--kind of a waste to ship one or two packages.

After seeing it, the best value is in the 15-oz cans because shipping from Skyline store is the same for those or the pouches. I'm sure the can is the best value because it's got the mostest and there's no pasta, just a lotta lotta that unparalleled Skyline chili.

The best move is to do nothing as, amazingly enough, the love is more important than the chili and the frustration you feel in sending something this way is exactly the same as for sending anything your way and for exactly the same reason. For me, your voice is the best gift of all. When the boy is twenty, that sounds like pitching a woo but at this end of the trail we know it's real.
