Why the World Will Never Make Sense

Legislation is typically written by lawyers too lazy to get more or less honest jobs and instead go into politics.  People think this is a new phenomenon but there is evidence from Scotland from many years ago to show that isn't true.  The following is in the Guinness Book for the most inexplicable legal passage ever written:

In the Nuts (unground), (other than ground nuts) Order, the expression
nuts shall have reference to such nuts, other than ground nuts, as would
but for this amending Order not qualify as nuts (unground) (other than ground
nuts) by reason of their being nuts (unground)."

 Have a cashew, McTavish.
