Vermont Comes to Marijuana Legalization in a Novel Way

While many states have established referenda to determine the public will with legalizing at least medical marijuana, that's not have Vermont did it since there was no vote.  The question went directly to the Vermont legislature where it was clear they're as tired as everyone else of screwing around with Harry Anzinger's nightmare.  (RT:  Vermont is steps away from legalizing marijuana)

Harry Anzinger's nightmare was reefer causes black men to go crazy for white women and this was the era of "Reefer Madness" when they believed that bullshit was true.  He's the one who pushed for law and he may be the one who stood for classing it with heroin which wound up as one of America's most gloriously stupid governmental oversteps.  Reefer has nothing even remotely to do with heroin.

Governor Phil Scott is expected to sign a bill that would make Vermont the first US state to legalize marijuana for recreational use through legislation, rather than a voter initiative. Scott indicated he had concerns about the bill but is “not opposed.”

The legislation was approved by a 79-66 vote on Wednesday and would eliminate penalties for adults 21 years and older, allowing them to possess one ounce or less of the drug beginning in 2018, according to WPTZ.

The governor is being the typical gubernatorial wimp since he will troll for some days to find if he gets a better offer or a better bribe.  He will probably sign it because it costs so much more to keep it illegal and just maybe in the time of drive-by gunfights, cops need to focus their attention somewhere else.  Stoners don't even own guns.  Those gunfighter maniacs are trading in narcotics and we don't screw with them.

Nah, I'm not trying to sell anything as conservatives with any sense saw the logic in legalizing it long ago.  Where Trump dredged up that retard, Jeff Sessions, just doesn't matter except, prithee, don't dredge any more.

Now there's a good-looking bud although how he plans to use the chop sticks remains to be seen.  That must be a New England thing.  Things are just a little different in New England.
