Liberalism Isn't What They Keep Telling You

Liberalism isn't and has never been mainstream and, as Cadillac Man reminds, uni is where he learned it's about protest rather than poses.

You don't have to tell anyone you're a liberal since they will already know ... and some will hate you for it.  The same is true for progressivism since it isn't necessary to tell something which is obvious if you really are delivering it.

No-one will question whether Bernie Sanders is a progressive liberal since you already know.  Anyone who tells you he or she is a progressive liberal probably is not.

Liberal is and must be the Revolution since conservatives won't ever do it.  They own the state and they're not going to break it but they're the same people who give reason to break it and that's why liberals just waste time talking since many are playing it like Scientology and they just need a few more ouija boards to get everyone thinking as they.  No-one is going to change to your thinking ... until after the Revolution since any time before that it's just yap.

Ed:  after the Revolution the liberals become conservatives

Exactly and the evolution starts all over again.

Liberals thirst for the future since it brings wonders we don't even know yet and many cringe at the prospect but they're the ones who won't make the cut.  The future also brings change and that's where the LINOs (i.e. Liberals In Name Only) choke since they're not talking about change and they almost never talk about the future.

Know your liberal; recognize your liberal; love your liberal.

Today's little Rockhouse portmanteau.  You're welcome.

Liberals are the future and any word of it immediately invites catcalls from conservatives because they don't want it.  In many cases, their specific intention is regressive in terms of rolling back this,  that, or some other damn thing but there's rarely any type of context of rolling forward except in terms of building weapons.  That's not the future; that's only death.

We're not necessarily catcalling conservatives since we understand the motivation toward a Little House on the Prairie Ideal but life would be one whole hell of a lot easier if they understood that Ideal is only something on TV and never really existed.

Ed:  where's the Zen in living in the future?

There's none at all but it doesn't disturb the now to anticipate it; the problem is when you try to live in it that way.  That comes out the same as living in the past.

I know in the future cars will be gone but living as if it that were true now would be stupid.  The cars will be gone for the simple reason they're such an expensive pain in the ass which at least is a huge hassle for use in its actual purpose.  Glory, another traffic jam after a big rig truck jack-knifed because of some nimrod in a Prius who is now an ex- and quite flat driver.

I know the coal plants and the associated filth will be gone because the improvements in solar are so rapid even cheap coal won't be able to compete.  Besides, nuclear works better and it's cleaner but Trump doesn't have the balls for it.

Liberalism is hardly ever about keeping things the same.
